Installation Notes
macOS

The app is not signed with an Apple certificate. After installing from the .dmg, open Terminal and run:

xattr -cr /Applications/SyncApp.app

Then open the app normally. If it still doesn't work, try: right-click > Open > click "Open".

Windows

Windows may show "Windows protected your PC". Click "More info" then "Run anyway".

Linux

Make the AppImage executable:

chmod +x SyncApp.AppImage && ./SyncApp.AppImage
Android

Enable "Install from unknown sources" in Settings. Open the APK to install.

Quick Setup

Install on both devices

Download the APK on your Android phone and the desktop app on your computer.

LAN: Enable file sharing

On your computer, enable SMB file sharing (Windows) or SFTP (Mac/Linux). The phone app will discover your computer automatically.

Remote: Pair with code

Open the desktop app, note the 6-digit pairing code. Enter it on your phone. Devices connect over the internet.

Select folders & sync

Choose which folders to sync, pick a direction (backup or two-way), and you're done. Sync runs automatically.
